We know that hands contaminated with cold or flu viruses can result in catching the bug. Bottomline, you want to wash your hands with soap and water by scrubbing well for at least 20 seconds, and alcohol hand gels are a good second choice. When drying your hands, one advantage of using paper towels, is that you can use the towel to touch a potentially contaminated bathroom door handle when exiting.
